Welcome to this experimental project aimed at establishing Design, Service design and Design Thinking in Nigeria and the wider African continent for the first time.I am particularly enthusiastic about taking time off my projects to dedicate to building this discipline in Africa.
Businesses,Governments and individuals and students should be entirely optimistic that the future of Africa in tackling its own problems might be nearer than we thought.
We can solve almost every problem only if we can open our minds to be more creative, embrace collaboration, open innovation while engaging both the right side and left side of our brains in our daily tasks.By changing the face of our education especially encouraging interdisciplinary working and problem-solving in our MBA and management schools.
We have seen millions of Dollars in aid and taxpayer's money wasted in projects that don't add value to citizen's life yet we continue doing them year-in,year-out.How can we start questioning the status-quo and moving in to finding the right solution.
Design is about problem-solving, solving wicked problems. It describes a process of thinking that we can apply in our everyday practice and in our search for meaning .
This is something you definitely can't ignore!.
With the  movement going on in the west with Apple and Samsung leading the world's most innovative companies to government agencies like the UK's Design Council helping to develop citizen-focused innovation using design methodologies. If you pay serious attention to trends going on around the world like innovation, design thinking, sustainability and the slow movement then you might find here as a resource to pull you through the next day.
I hope you find this blog resourceful, engaging, inspiring and thought-provoking.At the end of the day, this blog is a call-to-action for great African minds to collaborate and solve problems. From our moribund transportation, to under-served communities to businesses struggling with innovation or our healthcare system that needs overhauling. The need for design in Africa couldn't have been at a better time than now.
I will try to work with international organisations in and outside Nigeria to bring content and training on service design and design thinking with Videos, infographics, pictures and voice notes ..Find time to criticise the thinking, share your thoughts and participate in our collaborative projects.

Now,  let sparks fly!
